As an Enrollment Coordinator with the Institute, you have the opportunity to make a big difference in the lives of the children you enroll and their parents.
Enrollment Coordinators talk to between 25 and 40 parents each day. You will receive an hourly salary, earn commissions on the students you enroll, and have the opportunity to make $500 - $1,000 per week.
In each call, you exchange some basic information and then explore the parent’s motivation for calling. Your goal is to gain an understanding of the child’s reading skills and attitude about reading, which allows you to make an informed recommendation to enroll the child in the appropriate program.
Successful Enrollment Coordinators enjoy talking to the parents (primarily mothers) who call to inquire about the programs. You will need to lead parents in conversations about their children and listen to their concerns with genuine curiosity and interest. You will need to be knowledgeable about the programs. You must be persistent and flexible helping callers overcome obstacles to enrollment in order to close the sale.
I have talked with hundreds of parents and almost all of them have the same concerns: they want their children to love reading and they want to make sure their child isn't struggling in school. It's nice to have the tools and answers to put their minds at ease. It feels good to have a job where you're helping to make a difference.
