National leaders in reading instruction since 1970
The reading program kids actually do.
Live online teaching, reading between classes, and updates on your child’s reading — month to month, Pre-K through 12th grade. Three million families have trusted us since 1970. This is not another app that sits unused.
Classes running this week across the country
The receipts
They do the work. We can prove it.
Every week: a live teacher, short guided lessons, a book at their level, and a skills check on what we taught — not a sticker for showing up.
Find your path
Pick the program that matches your child.
Choose by your child’s grade. You’ll see how the week works, what it costs, and how to enroll. Already in a program with us but need help? Email us and we’ll handle any changes you need.

Manage your plan
Card on file, day/time change, moving to a books-included package, pause help. Email us — we confirm before anything changes.

One connected rhythm. Not another pile of worksheets.
Teaching, reading, and practice work together, with the materials and instruction suited to your child’s stage.
Live class
One 50-minute session a week with an expert IRD reading teacher — six max in a small group.
Guided practice
Pre-K–5 students use short online lessons between classes. Older students read between classes to practice what they’re learning.
The right book
Reading matched to your child’s level. Our new Pre-K–5 packages include printed books and shipping, along with ebooks in the lessons.
Reading updates
An assessment helps us understand your child’s starting point. Reading updates every six weeks help you follow their development.

How risk works here
Four things that make the month honest.
- Try the first two sessions. If the program isn’t the right fit, tell us within 48 hours of your child’s second session or within 21 days of purchase, whichever comes first. We’ll refund your payment in full; any books already shipped are yours to keep.
- Month to month. Cancel before your next billing date to stop your next payment. No additional charge for books already shipped.
- Pause when life happens — write help@readingprograms.org; we handle it with you.
- Reschedule within policy — stated on the program page before you pay.
